BSP leader Feroz Alam a.k.a. Raja has admitted that he wanted to get the paper leaked to help his girlfriend, who is pursuing the MBA course.
Aligarh: The Uttar Pradesh Police on Monday arrested a Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader for trying to get the MBA (Master of Business Administration) paper leaked with the help of an Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) employee.
Feroz Alam a.k.a. Raja has admitted that he wanted to get the paper leaked to help his girlfriend, who is pursuing the MBA course. Alam took the help of Irshad, an AMU employee, for the same. In return, Alam promised to get a permanent job in the AMU for Irshad.
Alam told the Uttar Pradesh Police that he had promised his lover that he could get the examination paper. The BSP leader then sent her a fake solved paper. However, as soon as she found out that the paper was fake, she got furious and even stopped talking to him.
Later, Alam and one of his friends Haider persuaded Irshad to get the paper leaked. The UP Police have arrested Haider and Irshad. The BSP leader is, however, absconding.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Akash, police have sealed the flat where the accused used to meet. The flat belonged to Haider’s uncle, Tehseem Siddiqui. Notably, Siddiqui is said to be close to Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav.
“This gang would sell answers at Rs 2,000 each and had even formed a WhatsApp group for entrance examinees. The answers have been solved to over a dozen students till now,” news agency IANS mentioned the SSP as saying.
